Jacob “Jack” Siebert

Jacob John Siebert “Jack” (78) entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. He was born in Kensal, ND on Feb 16, 1943 to Anton & Elizabeth Siebert. “Jack” was one of 7 children (3 brothers & 3 sisters). He graduated high school in 1961 and attended North Dakota State College of Science before joining the Navy in 1962. Jack served as a submariner for 20 years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer.

Jack was married to the love of his life, Ann C. Siebert “Annie” in 1977, whom he met while stationed in Charleston, SC. He lovingly adopted Annie’s two children, Richard & Fran, and continued to be devoted to his children even after Annie’s untimely death at only 42.

Jack loved to travel and do daily crossword puzzles. He was known to have a joyful laugh and was adored by many. His greatest joy was helping raise his grandchildren. In his retirement Jack worked at the Coca Cola Plant in Jamestown, served as the Groundskeeper at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds, and as an Assistant Manager during the summer months at the Buffalo Motel for many years.

Jack was proceeded in death by his wife, Ann Siebert; both of his parents; sister Matilda Potter; sister Monica Sather; nephews Cary and Bryan; and niece Roxanne. He is survived by his four children, Richard L. Siebert (CA), Fran Roberts (SC), Nancy Travis (Paul) (GA), and Rick F. Siebert (ID); 3 brothers: Allen (Carol) of Valley City, Lawrence of Belvedere, IL; Randy of Boulder, CO; one sister: Leona (Doug) Mead of Jamestown; a previous son-in-law: Jim Roberts (GA), Grandchildren: Jake (20), Annie (17), Olivia (15); 7 nephews, 3 nieces, and many great grandnephews and nieces.

His final resting place will be in Charleston, SC alongside his beloved Annie. A Celebration of Life for immediate family and friends will be held on Monday, July 12 at 11:00 at the lake.
