QM2 Gerald Regal (1988-1992)
Gerald J. Regal, 46, of Monroe, Wis., died July 26, 2013, in his home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, Monroe, Wis. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Friday in the funeral home.

Mr. Regal was born July 14, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wis. to Donald Ridgeway and Judith (Shoop) Holmberg. He married Carol Nelson on Aug. 11, 2012, in Monroe.

He graduated from Princeton High School in 1985. He served in the U.S. Navy for seven years.

He was a truck driver for most of his working life.

Survivors are his wife, Carol Regal of Monroe, Wis.; two children, Jenna (Nick Hand) Regal of Princeton and Kyle Regal of Fort Hood, Texas; one grandson, Logan Hand; his mother, Judith Holmberg of Henry; five stepchildren, Stephanie (Kris) Jennings of Florida, Andrew (Jacklyn) Armstrong of Spring Green, Wis., Miranda Day of Janesville, Wis., Corey Forster of Milton, Wis., and Amber Halverson of Dodgeville, Wis.; eight stepgrandchildren; six siblings, Debbie (Don) Foley of Henry, Glenda Spaulding of Indiana, Darren (Brenda) Holmberg of Bradford, Jennifer (Eric) Rebholz of Chillicothe, Cheryl (Doug) Hurley of Manlius and Pam Holmberg of Washington state; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial fund will be established.
