Dublin GA: Thomas (Todd) Hawkins, II, CPO, USN, Ret., passed away April 26, 2009, at his home in Dublin, Georgia. Born in Washington, D.C., January 3, 1951, he was raised in Catholic faith. He served 31 years in the Navy. He qualified on the USS James Madison (SSBN-627) in 1971 and was a QMC(SS) when he left the Navy. Beloved husband of Keturah (Kitty) Burgess Hawkins, father of Cristina Maria and Thomas (Todd) Hawkins, III. The children are from his first marriage to Paulette Basil Hawkins, who passed away June 1976, 3 years and 2 months after her marriage to Todd. She was buried from the same Catholic Church she was married in. Beloved son of Harriet H. bell and devoted step-son of Edwin F. Bell of Crofton, Md. Beloved grandson of the late Carl S. and Harriett B. Welch of Washington, D.C. He leaves his beloved mother-in-law, Bonnie Burgess of Shermpert, Georgia, and devoted friend, C.R. Horton. Arrangements were made by ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, Dublin, Ga., with full military honors at Glenville Veterans Cemetery, in Dublin, Ga
